Not a Town Hop, but Perhaps a Step?

Suppose a second town , when finally established is disappointing in its similarity to town one, no new puzzle, just ho-hum.  Can this town be in essence erased and have a redo with a new settler?  Can the clearing that is not a building, the one with the central totem, be deleted?  Picky sounding, I know, but I'd love a second try at a cell for town two.  Has anyone tried this?

if you downgrade all the buildings the town will vanish. It has been done many times.

You destroy any buildings you have built, or, if you have built nothing, just destroy the single hut/house. One the buildings are all destroyed the town will vanish. You can then build on a new cell, if you build on the old cell you will have the same town.
