How to chat?

I have the bar at the bottom of the screen, and I read other chats now and then, but it's mostly reports about things I do. I don't have a place to type anything. I have tried picking up the speaker horn and dragging and dropping it various places, to no effect. How do I chat?

You type in the bottom spacebar what you want to say in CC when you click enter it should propmt you to use a speaker horn. To send a PM, simply double click on the person's name it should open a chat window. Hope this helps.....Have fun gaming 

To clarify, It was brought to my attention that you can just right click. I have to double click because I play on a Mac  :)

I'm not sure what you mean by a bottom spacebar, or what CC means. If you're talking about a space to type stuff, I don't have one. 

Clicking on the name of someone who has already said something in chat doesn't do anything for me.

I also just noticed that the town map is gone when I am in the town. I have a bar at the bottom of where the map used to be that says World, and that's it.

Nevermind- I took the game out of windowed mode and they both came back.

Note to developers- Windowed mode hides the bottom bits of the screen, which are important.
